    The MDC spindle converter is a 4-square rectifier designed to control spindle rotation in CNC or non-CNC machine tools.

    Working principle of the MDC spindle converter:

    Two-zone speed regulation.

• In the first zone - up to the rated speed, regulation is carried out by changing the voltage at the armature, while maintaining a constant value of the excitation current. The maximum torque in this zone is constant.
• In the second zone - above the rated speed, the armature voltage remains constant and equal to the maximum, and the excitation current decreases. In this zone, the values of the nominal and maximum powers remain constant.
